12/08 – Solara to Develop Novel Oil Mist Filters for Aerofab Manufacturing.
Novel oil mist collection systems from Aerofab Manufacturing improve air quality and reduce waste in manufacturing plants. Solara Solutions has signed a product development agreement with Aerofab to design and build prototypes for the next generation of filter-free air cleaning equipment. The companies collaborated on Aerofab’s initial oil mist collections products, now deployed across various industries.
Aerofab President Lesley Oakley was optimistic about product line expansion plans: ‘our first mist collectors, with volumes of 600 and 1200 cfm, were well received. Our filters are self-cleaning and require no barrier filter media that can get clogged with oil over time – which translates into constant performance and very low maintenance. We are contracting with Solara to enhance existing designs and also to add new system configurations. It has proven to be a very strong development partnership.’
